March wind

So finally find some time to buy a couple of flowers for the bare emtpy flower pots on the porch. Run to my favorite big box store and nearly got blown away! I am talking hang on to your hats and everything else wind! Blew my way home and begin to toil in the soil. Oh my that was so much fun. There is nothing better than the first time of the season to play in the dirt. To reflect on the promise of new beginings,watching seeds grow and thrive it is so amazing. My husbands grand dad Papa use to tell me let those kids eat some dirt it is good for them . Ha never figured out why. Has you can see I absoulty love to garden. I so miss the old house we had a big veggie garden that grew the best tomatoes around. Use to have to fight off the mockingbirds and the squirrels them seem to be a bit greedy,I was willing to share but I wanted some too! Those maters were the best home grown,my dad use to love them. He would make a ride up just to get some and of course a hug from the grandkids. I still have some planting to do but the wind is worse now than before,not sure I could stay put with out being blown over the fence and down the street. Well we know spring is here because of the wind so a warm up should be around the corner! I am ready.

10 Things about me.

A fellow blogger posted this on her today and I so liked it I am going to do it too.

1.My bed must be made every day. I can not stand it being messy. And yes i do realize that I am getting back into it in a couple of hours it still has to be done.

2.There will be no dishes left in the sink or counter before I go to bed.I also have to prepare the coffee pot and give my dogs a treat before I can head upstairs.

3.I am really a homebody and considered quite boring as a person.

4.Yes I am a nerd ( my kids said so) I do play Face Book games and spend way too much time on the laptop then I should.

5.I like to have dinner by 6 pm other wise I can get cranky.

6. I love to read romance novels and magazines.

7.I struggle to speak up when I should,but have no problem speaking up when I should not. Foot in mouth disease here.

8.I watch soap operas, HGTV, TLC and love it! I also watch all the reality shows too. Drives my family bonkers!!

9.I wish I could hold a note and sing,I can not but that does not stop me from making a joyful noise to the Lord.

10.So what else would you like to know about me?

what a week!!

Goodness it sure has been a wild and weird week for us. So first day of spring break brings with it a broken down truck 2 hours away from home. Determined that the truck is dead and needs to be shot we must now retrieve the left items in it and come back. Now what do we do to replace our son's truck? Well that is and was a good question. It took untill today to finally have it some what settled. And now 2 new cars and a much bigger payment each month. God I pray we did the right thing.

Also we had our 27th wedding anniversary on friday. Spent it looking at cars and a quick dinner out. Sigh not very romantic huh.

Too boot we hardly spent any time with our kids. I feel so bad about that. One boy was sick all week and was content to lay and play video games. I am so tired now and need another week off to recoup from this week. No real relaxing or chillin for us.

Always something going on or breaking isnt that the way it is suppose to be? So trying to depend on the Lord to help us make the right chocies and to help lead us in the right directions. I am so greatful for the week and the time we did have even with all the hassles and issues the Lord gave me many blessings.

First Day of Spring Break

After having a great morning out shopping and lunch with my bff.Drama has returned to my life. We went a whole week with out any believe that is a record for us. Boys took a trip to a college look see and one of the trucks broke down. As always I start to panick and freak out. What should we do what can we do. Oh wait they have sons girl friend with them they have to get back tonight.

Well the boys were awesome and did everything right. Getting the truck towed and to a proper shop etc..Driving back in other boys car. Yes not exactly planned two trips this week but that is what has been dealt to us. We hope and pray it is nothing real expensive like everyone else money is tight.

So trying to recall what was taught this sunday at church. It is not about me it is about how i can minister to others. How I need to set my perspectives upwards and keep postive.So I sit here and try not get upset and realize that things will work out and that the Lord is watching over us. He did get them to where they needed to be before the truck broke down.They are safe.So we can depend on the Lord to help us thru this crisis and that we will have just enough to pay for any repairs.

Discovering God in Surprising places was the sermon name. So I am looking.

Getting Started

I always wanted to write about things and my day. I have been told that so much drama goes on in my life I should write a book. This should give me a outlet and help me explore the idea.

This should be a great new adventure.
